At the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Describe the anatomical landmarks for the correct indication of lateral approach surgery
• Demonstrate the correct positioning of the patient, fluoroscopy, and table to achieve accurate patient access
• Make and confirm targeted retroperitoneal access
• Identify a suitable trans-psoas passage, applying the directional and proximity signals from the neuromonitoring
• Argue and critique principles and proper indications of indirect decompression
